India - hurt by by rising wage costs, attrition and an a shortage of English proficient talent, has caused several BPO firms to increase their investments in Malaysia. AIG announced KL will be their  "Center of Excellence" for Asia and a number of AIG data centers around Asia will be closed and consolidated into their Malaysian operation.  HSBC continues to invest in Malaysia for back office processing, as does DHL, BMW and Standard Chartered Bank.

We see the growth in the spending on Call Center technology increasing by 9% in 2010, and forecast 2011 to have double digit growth as the Malaysian economy rebounds and more domestic companies upgrade their CRM systems and adopt cloud based services.
